2010 Results:
Results will be posted at each of the competitions in
the "Series" during the event. Points earned towards Final Placement
Trophies will be posted on this website. In previous years we had
competitors representing Glacier Ice and Snow, Palm Beach SkateZone, Kendall
Ice Arena, Pines Ice Arena, Germain Arena, Incredible Ice, Scott Rakow
Youth Center, Space Coast, Palm Beach Ice Works, Space Coast, Skatium, Tampa
Bay Skating Academy, Ecuador and Venezuela. See you soon!
Final
Point Trophy Standings
Awards
- Medals will be awarded by the organizers of each
competition to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in each competition, 4th,
5th, and 6th place will receive ribbons. Any skater who competes in a
minimum of two (2) events in at least three (3) of the four "Series"
competitions will be eligible to win a trophy. Please note that only
the Elements, Compulsory, Basic with Music and Freeskate with Music events
count in the final points tabulation. Medals and Ribbons will be
awarded for every event during each competition.
Final Placement
Trophies - Points will be collected during the
season and posted here after each competition. After the last
competition in the "Series" the Final Placement Points will be tabulated and
each arena hosting a competition will have a Trophy Award Ceremony for their
skaters. Skaters from other rinks who have won a final placement
trophy will have their trophy delivered to their home rink.
Series Point
System - The Freeskating and the
Compulsory/Elements events in each of the 4 Series Competitions will be
eligible for accumulating points.
ALL SKATERS WHO PARTICIPATE IN
AT LEAST THREE OF THE FOUR COMPETITIONS IN THE SERIES WILL BE
ELIGIBLE TO WIN A TROPHY WITH AN OVERALL PLACEMENT. PLEASE NOTE THAT
ONLY THE ELEMENTS/COMPULSORY AND FREESKATE EVENTS COUNT IN THE
FINAL POINTS TABULATION.
The system for scoring points
for the final trophy will be as follows:
Each event will have a maximum of
6 skaters
1st Place 6 points
2nd Place 5 points
3rd Place 4 points
4th Place 3 points
5th Place 2 points
6th Place 1 point
If an event has less than 6
skaters, the points will be adjusted. i.e. For a group of 3
skaters the 1st place would receive 3 points, 2nd place would be 2 points
and 3rd would be 1 point.
